While earning degrees in Psychology and Exceptionality in Human Learning at the University of Toronto, I gained experience as a peer editor through my participation in creative writing courses and my involvement with Life Rattle, a Toronto radio program that features original work from local writers. Subsequently, I worked for several years as a literacy assessor and educator with adult students, which further strengthened my skills. I am also certified as a TESOL teacher and have taught English as second language, privately and for schools and language institutes in Toronto and Buenos Aires.
In 2006, I launched my career as a freelance writer and editor in the realm of e-learning. As my reputation for delivering high quality work grew, my client list expanded to include governmental organizations, non-profits, book publishers, and bestselling authors. I also have five years experience as co-editor for AdiosBarbie.com, a role that honed both my copy and content editing skills.

When determining payment, I consider the level of editing required in addition to other factors such as the deadline, length of the text, and type of document, e.g., technical level, textbook, fiction. Note that I am familiar with American, Canadian, and British conventions.
For documents that have been previously edited, I correct errors in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and formatting.
I highlight and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar; query inconsistencies in style; eliminate unnecessary repetition; and fact check.
For documents that require more intense editing, I examine the text as a whole and reorganize your presentation, identify gaps in content, and rewrite poorly constructed sentences and paragraphs.
For new clients and those with large projects, I require a 50% deposit. Upon completion of the project, clients have 14 days to pay the remaining balance.
Payments can be paid by wire transfer, check, money order, or via PayPal in American or Canadian funds. Please be aware that PayPal payments incur a minimum surcharge of 2.4%.
