When determining payment, I consider the level of editing required in addition to other factors such as the deadline, length of the text, and type of document, e.g., technical level, textbook, fiction. Note that I am familiar with American, Canadian, and British conventions.
For documents that have been previously edited, I correct errors in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and formatting.
I highlight and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar; query inconsistencies in style; eliminate unnecessary repetition; and fact check.
For documents that require more intense editing, I examine the text as a whole and reorganize your presentation, identify gaps in content, and rewrite poorly constructed sentences and paragraphs.
